The Story

We drove by car from San Diego, crossing the border at Tiajuana, and heading to La Pinta Hotel in Catavina. This was one of the three government-run hotels that we stayed in during the trip. The second night put us in the La Pinta at Guerro Negro, about a one-half hour drive on a sand road to Scammon's Lagoon. After two days there, we started home, staying a night at San Quinto.
